Welcome To Our School

Landing Elementary School, located in the Glen Cove City School District, serves students in third through fifth grade. Our programs are uniquely planned to help children positively transition from the primary level to the elementary school environment and then to prepare them for the next transition into middle school. Our curricula is designed to enhance each child's academic skills, language acquisition, and social competency.

The elementary experience provides a myriad of developmentally appropriate opportunities in which children constructively explore, create and discover while learning. The faculty and staff use a variety of materials and technology to support instruction including our one-to-one device initiative. Among the important aspects of the curricula are learning activities, which foster self-efficacy and a positive, growth-mindset attitude toward school and learning. Mindfulness and self-awareness are a part of our social emotional curriculum.
