Welcome!

Landing Elementary School, located in the Glen Cove City School District, serves students in grades three through five. Our programs are uniquely planned to help children positively transition from the primary level to the elementary school environment and then to prepare them for the next transition into middle school. Our curriculum is designed to enhance each child's academic skills, language development, and social competency.

The elementary experience provides a wide range of developmentally appropriate opportunities for students to explore, create, and discover while learning. Faculty and staff use a variety of materials and technology to support instruction including our one-to-one device initiative. A key component of the curriculum includes learning activities that foster self-efficacy and a promote a positive, growth-mindset attitude toward school and learning. Mindfulness and self-awareness are a part of our social-emotional curriculum.
