Dear Landing Families,

We had the best time during the month of February! We kicked off the month celebrating International Night, with over 70 people in attendance, representing 15 countries from across the globe. We welcomed Northwell Health to do a presentation on Healthy Communication and recognized the importance of mental health awareness on P.S. I Love You Day. We were blown away by our talented performers in the Frozen Kids production and had fun with the Harlem Wizards at Glen Cove High School.

As we look ahead to March, we are so excited about P.A.R.P., running from March 3rd- 7th. This year's theme is "Reading is My Superpower", and we have many fun events planned, including a spirit week. Our goal is to read 40,000 minutes as a school and the top readers in each grade will get to race against me (wearing a blow-up superhero costume) in an obstacle course. If you haven't already, please take a moment to activate your child's personal reader page here for our Read-A-Thon fundraiser. Happy reading!

Arriving to School on Time

We would like to emphasize the importance of arriving to school on time. Punctuality sets the tone for a productive day, allowing students to start their learning without interruptions. When students arrive late, they miss valuable instruction time, which can impact their progress. In addition, it is disruptive to the learning of the other students in the classroom when students arrive late.

We encourage you to help your child develop good habits by ensuring they arrive on time, no later than 8:10 a.m., each morning. Your support in this matter will contribute to their academic success and overall development. Thank you for your support!
