Family Engagement School-Parent Guardian Contract

To help our children achieve, we agree to abide by the following conditions during the current school year: 

School Responsibilities

The school will:

• Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment. 
• Hold parent-teacher conferences during which this contract will be discussed as it relates to your child’s academic achievement.
• Provide consistent home-school communication by way of, for example: phone calls, emails, electronic newsletters, flyers, ParentSquare, our website, and social media.
• Provide parents and guardians reasonable access to staff.
• Provide parents and guardians with opportunities to volunteer and participate in school and/or class activities.

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

We, as parents and guardians, will support our children’s learning in the following ways:

• Monitor my child’s attendance and tardiness.
• Ensure that my child is prepared and ready to learn every day. 
• Make sure that homework is completed.
• Limit and monitor screen time, the amount of television my child watches, and the use of electronic devices. 
• Participate in decisions regarding my children’s education.
• Promote positive use of my child’s extracurricular time; and stay informed about my child’s education and communicate with the school regularly.
• Make every effort to attend parent/teacher conferences.

Student Responsibilities

As a student, I will share the responsibility to improve my grades, and agree to follow our school rules and PBIS school-wide expectations outlined in our student code of conduct:

• Students are committed to Working Hard, Being Kind and Being Safe.
• Complete homework every day.
• Read at least 20 minutes each day outside of school.
• Give to my parents and guardians all notices and information received by me from school every day.
• Be responsible for my school electronics by taking care of them, charging them every night and using them appropriately. 
• Ask for help when I cannot meet the above expectations.
